Come Enjoy Pizza and Support the Firebirds

Orleans, Mass. – The Fairway Restaurant and Pizzeria, located at 4295 Route 6 in North Eastham, will host a fundraiser for the Orleans Firebirds Baseball Club on Wednesday, June 10th, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the team’s fundraising efforts for their Field Improvement project at their home field, Eldredge Park in Orleans. Earlier this spring, the Yawkey Foundation awarded the team a $150,000 grant towards the improvements, and matching funds must be raised. Come meet the 2009 team (formerly known as the Cardinals), get some autographs, enjoy a great meal, and help the club, all at the same time! The Firebirds’ Cape Cod Baseball League season begins on Friday, June 12th, as they visit the Y-D Red Sox, and the home opener is the following night as they host the Brewster Whitecaps. LHP Jimmy Reyes (Elon) is expected to be the Firebirds' opening day starting pitcher.
